As the Covid-19 pandemic is spreading at a rapid pace and that the medical infrastructure of the country is facing a huge burden with the growing number of people being infected with this deadly virus, it is a moral responsibility of the Non-Governmental Organization to supplement the Government’s efforts to fight this pandemic.

Free Medical Camps

1st Medical Camps

Financial Year -2006

Ewam India has been concerned about the health condition of the people in the rural areas, where basic medical care is a distant dream. Many workshops have been conducted among the villagers about the awareness of importance of good health and hygiene. 

In November 2006 held its 1st Medical camp was set up at Toribari Village, Siliguri wherein patients were given free medical consultations and treatment. More than a thousand people were beneficiaries to this camp.

2nd Medical Camps

Financial Year - 2008

After the success of Trust 1st medical camp, the Trust held its 2nd two day medical camp at its project site on 16th to 17th Jan, 2018.  350 patients from various nearby villages has benefited from this camp, all the patients were given free medical consultations and medicines.

3rd Medical Camps

Financial Year - 2010

The Trust conducted 3rd  two days “Free Medical Camp” on 24th & 25th January 2010 at Ewam India Project site, Toribari Village, Salugara. During that time, five doctors visited the camp and did free consultation to all the people and also provided them free medicines. 380 numbers of poor people and patients were benefited from this charity program.

4th Medical Camps

Free Eye check-up Camps

5th Eye Camp

Financial Year -2012

On 4th March 2012, the Trust organized “Free Eye Camp” to all the needy and poor people in Siliguri. In this camp, we arranged two eye specialist doctors for conducting free eye check ups. Out of 118 number of people checked up, 49 person were provided free eye glasses and free medicines to all the needy ones.

Mother & Child

6th Mother & Child

Financial Year -2013

On 1st & 2nd March 2013, Trust organized “Free Medical Health Camp” under the banner of “Mother & Child”, specially for the Mother and children in villages. In this camp, we arranged seven specialized doctors from Sir Thutob Namgyal Memorial Hospital (STNM), Gangtok and Manipal Hospital, Gangtok, Sikkim (Dr. S. Paul (Pediatrics), Dr. Ranjung Doma (General Physician), Dr. N Bhutia (Gynecologist), Dr. Angela Dorjee (Respiratory Medicine) Dr. Anup Pradhan (Gynecologist), Dr. Ashish Pradhan (Pediatrics), Dr. Pema Choki Lepcha (Dermatologist). More than 550 people attended and benefited in these two days health camp with free consultations and medicines.

Medical Camp during H.H. Dalai Lama Teachings.

7th Medical Assistance

Financial Year -2013

Another “Free Medical Health Camp” was organized from 27th to 29th March 2013 during the visit and teaching of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at Sri Kalachakra Phodang, Salugara, Siliguri, West Bengal. We arranged General Physician from North Bengal Medical College Hospital, Siliguri and consultations and medicine were provided free. More than 330 people were benefited through this medical camp.
